calf bull

i have a dec. 23 calf bull , mom died . has been on bottle twice a day just like yall said . also feeding good aalf starter pellets twice a day with bottle . have to feed him with other cows and bull . annd the bull knocks him a round . we throw out range cubes to distract them so he can eat . it seemes like now he does not like to eat pelltes as much as the range cubes plus the othres eat the range cubes so fast he dose not have time to eat all his . will the range cubes be to hard on his tummy . what can i do ? please just need help

Do whatever it takes to seperate him before he gets hurt. Buy some cattle panels and build him a little pen of his own. At least until he is big enough to fend for himself.

does he need to stay in pen just when eats ? thay protect him from wind and the rain , just ugly at feeding times . cant finsh other pen until burn ban has lifted .

Set up some sort of calf gate into a seperate area that will only allow the calf or something it's size to get into at feeding time.

You are getting good advice Starbaby. Take one cattle panel and bend it equally into a U. Put the open end up against a barn wall and staple it there with fence staples. Cut a hole in it that is just big enough for the calf to go in at the bottom of the U. You may have to show him how to get in a time or two but he will learn where to get his food. Good luck.
