How old and what breed is BUTTERS. He is a purty good looking bull. Good scrotal, sound conformation, good muscling. Appears a tad sway back, but that could be the way he is standing.

He is just a hair over two he has a little maine in him maybe 1/8 the rest angus out of a occ bonanza cow. Your right he does break a little across his back. He was a mistake a friend of mine had some club calf semen in the tank and somehow my wife used it on that cow but instead of pushing her back a mounth we just let her have him.

I,ve been using him to clean up the comm.heifers he ran with 66 of them last year probably worked him a little to hard,but he did his job only had two open heifers.I need to get him tested for pha if he's negative I might keep a few of his heifers for the comm. herd.
 
1 thing is for sure he is a goodlooking bull.a tad sway backed but not to bad.the only thing i really see is he is a tad off in his topline.

He's out of Cowboy Cut an Irish Wiskey son. I haven't seen to much else I like out of Cowboy Cut though,but I don't look at alot of club calves anymore.

Thanks. I don't know much about Cowboy Cut, but I am a fan of the Irish Whiskey bull.
 
Cowboy Cut is a 3/4 Maine bull, a Ice Pick son, would be a paternal brother to Irish Whiskey.
 
When I look at Butters, I don't see a weak topline. I see a stronger loin. I look for a swell that starts a ahead of the loin and goes over the rump and below the tail and starts going toward the back leg. I love that thickness. I would even like to see more of a swaybackness on Butters if that is what everyone is calling it. But, it isn't what I see when I see it. But he has that muscle that I am speaking of. You will not see the "Funnel Butt" in a bull with the strong loin that Doc speaks of.
I think Butters is a fine bull.
