Had 5 calves born in 30 hours, none of which were twins. Usually peak at 2 a day. May not seem like many to some, but it's a lot when we only have 40 to calve. Looks like another 3 are getting really close.
All up and healthy, a little confusion between 2 pairs so separated one set for the night. Nice when they all come at once and are healthy.
Love calving this time of year, things are a bit busy, but sure is nice seeing calves nice and clean on the grass.

Thanks for sharing. Where is your closest market and where do calves from your area typically go to feed?

Nearest sale barn is about 3 hours away in Truro NS. Typically the buyers are from NS, PEI, New Brunswick, or Quebec. There's no one local that feeds out. Our calves born now will be sent to sale in April/May.

She reminds me of the 'old type' Friesian :D . What is her breeding...and the calf?

I believe she's shorthorn X ... Bought her 11 years ago with a calf at her side and it wasn't her first. Weaned our lightest calf last season and planned to cull her but prices were terrible, so here she is. All are bred to Charolais.
