Well, I did it. I busted the passenger side glass on my JD4630 while I was disking around a cedar tree. Had the window open so it caught pretty easy. Did searches on " Window glass for JD, glass for tractors, glass (at the JD Parts page), JD window glass. Nothing. I need to buy a new one or find a used one at a junk yard. I looked in the classifieds and found nothing. By the way, this is in central Texas. Hate to buy new, buncha bucks i would guess. I think there is a tractor junkyard in Eagle Lake, not sure though. Anybody know where I can get a piece of glass for this JD?
Appreciate any input.

Thanks
Dick

By the way, that cedar tree isn't there anymore....

Dick -- there is a pretty good sized tractor scrap yard in Eagle Lake, as well as a big dealer for new green. Unfortunately, I don't have names and numbers for you, but good old Yahoo yellow pages will probably give you that info. Also, I seem to recall that there are a number of outfits in Caldwell that might be able to help you.

If you strike out or price is too high, try your local glass dealer. The local guy that fixes auto windshields and house windows here will cut and drill flat tractor cab glass for us.

Try Wellington Tractor Parts in Wellington, TX. (806-447-5346). I think ? they have a website. Carry a LOT of parts, used.

Also, if you elect to have a piece made, go with polycarbonate rather than glass--very high impact resistance.

Good luck.

The tractor junk yard in Eagle Lake is good. We have gotten a few parts I couldn't find anywhere else for our JD 730 (i.e. rear housing $$$$) I thought they were high on the parts, but I couldn't find it anywhere else and they knew I needed it

Just go to the dealer. I asked a glass shop about it and he said by the time he cut it, drilled the holes, he wouldn't be much cheaper plus the factory glass has the solar tint so you don't have a much glare.

Rear glass for my 2555 was around $200. It has the same sound gard round fronted cab as your tractor.
