Wow! I can't believe the way kids treated her. If you haven't seen it, google "bus monitor bullied". We have a 72 year old substitute at our school and the kids protect her at all cost. Younger subs don't get that free pass. Makes me sick to see that no one ask them to stop. She get the last laugh with the donations almost at $400,000. She will get a long vacation with that much money.

This type of thing should be nipped in the bud. Those kids should not be allowed to go without consequences which would reward them for their behavior.
I believe caning would help to stop a lot of things. :deadhorse:
I am not talking about grounding, taking away their toys, making them pick up trash, or paddling.
I mean severe caning. Something they will really feel and really remember.
Make an example of them.

My mom worked at the schoole she was treated like gold by all the students and staff. She worked there in the 70's and early 80's. There is a differance in the way kids act today they just don't show the respect they did back then.

Glenn Beck broke this story on his GBTV web based TV channel. He's responsible for the donations that are now rolling in for the lady. I seriously doubt she colluded with those little miscreants to stage the event.

The dad of one of the boys went and apologized to the lady, had a letter his son wrote, but I don't think it means much-because his parents made him do it, and if he doesn't realize what he did was so wrong-he hasn't learned a thing, and a apology means zilch.
I can't believe they told her she should kill herself, and her own son did kill himself, makes ya wonder what kind of hoodlums these kids are, picking on a old lady-is just inexcusable-

riding the bus is a privilage not a right. kick their a$$ off. and make the kids cut her grass and paint the house all summer.they need the" board of education" back in school
