I had to add a little bit of grain to their diet as my feed supply is dwindling fast , I underestimated how much fresh cows can and need to consume. They were on oat/barley green feed only up until last Tuesday and now they share a 20 litre bucket of steam rolled barley a day.

BTW here is a pic of Lola that some might remember ,she will be AI'd next month, the heifers get green feed only. I think they are doing very well on it. I sure hope we get some moisture this summer or I will be down to nothing left as far as cattle goes.

The Maximus calf is a dandy what do you guess he weighs and how old is he now HD. Who's who in the last two bull pics. That Mr Cool looks like he could be pretty thick.

Sorry 5 gallon bucket, 20 litres. They share about 15lbs of grain a day . This converting back and forth is giving me a headache.. :help:

Max adjusted WW was 810 and adj TW was 1239. His DOB is Jan 16 2009.

Final Score is out of a Moderator daughter and his adj WW was 753 with an adj YW 1229 , DOb Feb 9 2009

Mr Kool adj WW 679 and adj YW 1179 ,DOB was Feb 7 2009.

The last two pics ,, the second last was Final Score on the left and Max on the right and then the last pic is Max in the main shot with Kool in the back. I really like Final Score ;he has done very well, especially being out of a heifer .Too bad he is scurred ,but Big Gun was scurred to and he is the sire. Kool could have some more dept and flank to him , it is strange as his dam is a huge power house.. Final Score's dam gave me a bull calf again this year and he is already looking really deep and thick at 3 weeks of age. Kool's dam gave me a beautiful heifer calf this year and I am waiting for Max's dam to calve still, raising twins last year all on her own set her breeding schedule back a bit.

Very impressive numbers HD. Very impressive for farm raised and not having been on test.

I like the Max calf a whole lot.
