Not enough muscle

My thoughts exactly, I would not buy them for herd bulls. Slaughter em and eat em.

I would need a little more info before I would make that statement.

Age?

Have they been on grass or full feed?

What are your plans for the bull?

7 were getting a five gallon bucket of corn since last year

just kind of looking for a polled bull to use to raise some good bulls for comercial cows ( black cows)

I am definatly going to A-I some cows but wanted a polled cleanup bull. I missed my chance in sept. But I didnt have this crazy idea of raising polled hereford bulls to sell at that time. Should have bought that Devil bull at Lowdermans.Any way the one with the goggle eyes is out as in the pedigree there is a HYC.

7 bulls splitting 5 gallons of plain shelled #2 corn (~20 lbs?). They would have looked better if he had thrown in 5 lbs of soybean meal with the high energy corn. The purists will jump all over this statement, but that counts as grass fed to me.

Might have clarified that five gallon bucket of cracked corn and oats Total 5 gallon bucket a day. And there have been only four left since august. The guy just took them to the sale barn and hasnt advertised them at all. I just found out by driving by his place. I ask him and he said yes they are for sale. He hasnt used them and isnt going to. he got them with 25 head of mama cows as calves. They just turned 2 they are headed for the sale barn I think. At the first of the year.

There is a big difference between a cow freshener on commercial cows and a bull to be used to sire bull prospects. You need more bull power than these can offer for the latter. Ordinary bulls can at best sire ordinary calves and ordinary bull calves are worth what ordinary steers are or less.
