bull only after one hiefer

hes runiing with the cows but the heifers are on the opposite side of the fence.

ive got 9 heifers in there and only one about 12 mos old keeps wlaking the fenceline and keeps the bull on the fence. all the others have came and went thru cycles already and he never bothered with em nor did they walk the fence like this one. she only does it when shes in heat tho.

the bull tore down the fence about 3 weeks ago and mixed em all together with him and the cows..talk about a train wreck...lucky i was home to see it happen and managed to git the bull off by himself and into anothe rpasture and resorted the cows/steers/heifers into the right patures and then turned the bull back to the cows he live with all yr....what a pita tho

whats up with this heifer..any ideas??

If it's all the time or every week - 10 days she's probably cyctic. Or she may just be a slut.

alright..whats cyctic mean..couldnt find it anywhere.

she cycling every 2 weeks id say...the bull never chased any of the other ones across the fence..

her momma was the ranch slut tho...bred in her??

She may have an ovarian cyst which causes the erratic heat cycle.

erratic combination of estrus and anestrus.

you need to have your vet palpate her to see if she is cystic.that means she has cyst on her overies.that can be treated but it dont always work.the sure cure is a 1 way ticket.
