Kid bought a rogue bull. He needed to get rid of it. He called me for help. No way in hades to get that old timer outwitted. I am simply getting too old to deal with this crap. I gotta be smarter.
I went to my pasture and found the brangus had #17 cut out away from the herd. He was flemming. He covered her.
I loaded her in the trailer and ran over to the kid's pasture 6 miles away. Put her in the pen. The rogue bull couldn't resist. We backed out and he came. He got penned and loaded. Took 45 minutes. I hauled #17 back home. Brangus covered her again. My Char bull may have too.
More of a stroke of luck than anything else. Calving year round like I do puts my odds even lower on finding a cow in season.
Problem solved tho.
