Well, the bull calf I kept intact this year just had a "eureka" moment... He discovered he could grunt like a big guy. For some reason he was madder than a wet hen at his full sister, and he went on for a half an hour teasing her and grunting. She's not much for fighting, so she'd shove him off, and he'd come back at her and beat her up (she's 3 years old and double his weight). I don't know what was bugging him so much, but it was pretty funny to watch, and he did sound like a 2000 lb bull with that deep roar. He was still all friendly with me though, so that's good for him

 Tough guy! They are funny to watch Nesi.
Mine used to like to fight with the big cows, who ignored him for the most part.

I'm starting to like this guy a bit more than when he was a calf, he's filled out and looks alright, he doesn't have the 'massive' look his brother had, mostly because he's got longer legs, but I think I might use him on heifers and young cows next year, he was below average BW for bull calves (all his brothers and sisters were small at birth too), he's grown well and has a nice butt. I think where the big difference between him and his brother was is in the shoulders, the brother had wider shoulders and thicker neck.

When we got our new bull as a long yearling, he was always bugging the old boy, and they'd push and shove a bit, and just before he got his azz kicked, he'd take off running as if to say "Just kidding". They really got along well.. of course there were no cows in heat either.

I love hearing some of the bull calves once they find their mature voice. We had a bull calf 2 years ago who developed a deep roar at 6 months of age. He would also kick up dust occasionally while he did it. It was very entertaining to watch him.
He is still quite calm. I remember as an 18 month old, he started bellowing at the bull across the creek from us. They didn't have visual contact, but after our bull started to bellow at him the other bull got out of there as quickly as he could. I guess he sounded like he was much larger than he actually was.
