Our 6 year old brahman bull has been observed recently acting quite aggressive towards a few random cows. We have not seen this before. What could be the reason? Would a younger bull possibly bred the female have triggered this?

What is he the aggressive behavior? Is it like knocking them to the ground and stomping them or just pushing them around the pasture?
That's how cattle communicate to some extent. He could be trying to breed them himself. Some times also bulls will herd "their" cows and keep them away from neighbors bulls or other bulls.
If there are no injuries it's not really much to worry about, imo.
Guess that would depend on what you mean by"sudden aggressive" behavior. I don't think a younger bull breeding them would cause any change in personality. Unless he is physically hurting them I don't think you really have anything to worry about.
