You just gotta know how to make the best of the situation. Next time you go out in the evening to check the cows take a ribeye, a gallon of water, and a Salt shaker. Let the tail gate down on the truck and rinse with the water, put steak on rinsed spot and take a minute or two to look he cows over while adding salt to the steak as it cooks. Be very careful not to place hands on tailgate while checking the herd, this will result in third degree burns and you won't be able to pick up your steak.![]()

The brass end of a Water Hose can be used for a "Circle" branding iron...lol.
Rain passed us by again yesterday...Another 113 deg day today. Continual 3 digit days since middle of May. At least I haven't had to mow our yard grass this year...small benefits...
It's pretty simple. You always work with a bucket of water next to you. When you're done with a wrench you drop it in the bucket of water. Every desert rat learned that trick first thing.Calman":303topj5 said:hooknline":303topj5 said:Reminds me of my Arizona days
And also Hook ya don't dare leave your wrenches out in the sun.

Carry you a big tater with you and stick it on the radio antenna...it'll bake in about 15 minutes.Isomade":f8p24gbh said:Cal,Calman":f8p24gbh said:If ya leave your truck setting out in this Texas sun you can use your seat belt buckle for a branding iron!!! And ya can take that to the bank!
