Dun, if we lived closer, my husband would take them off your hands. He makes cedar furniture for a hobby. He lives for this kind of thing.

He just needs to come to Mo and get em bring a big trailer

you need a vacation anyway don't you

I could use some post HOLES. Back when there were a bunch of abandoned oil wells around, they used to sell them whole, and you could cut them to whatever depth you needed. Usually figured out to be about $ .15 per post hole. Now, you mostly have to dig your own.

We got cedar around here, to be sure. It is hard to find the big straight trees. Most of our's are skinny. We have a mantle that Steve made out of half a huge cedar log that's just beautiful. Those big ones are worth milling.

How did you haul them post holes??

If you cut them in about 30' pieces, you can use a regular flatbed trailer. Best to have some kind of stakes on the sides so they'll stack pretty well. You can get a lot on a load--have to watch how high you stack them, though. Weight is not a problem.

Got a few rocky spots...those would work great there. Give me a call if you locate a load. ;-)

I wish I was closer cause I'd be at your doorstep with the trailer. Generous offer there. Of course, what if you only needed 7 2 footers. I guess I'd need a calculator. (BTW - thanks for typing slow) ;-)

My uncle had quite a bit of land with cedar years ago. Right after I graduated from high school I spent a year helping him out. Spent much of that winter and early spring cutting, hauling and peeling cedar posts.
