Suppliers here are still working on plan B. They have enough fertilizer in to start the season but price is an issue if you are producing calves... Spray is still short. Lots of discussion on new to us pre emerge mixes to minimize Roundup usage.
Bottom line is we have set up low-cost sourcing that is very fragile. We are way too reliant on cheap imports. Some folks have started stockpiling pizza crust and pasta just in case.
The cow calf forage trend here is to import more byproducts using bottom unloading semi trailers. With $5 fuel - - it is location, location, location.
