I am breeding my cow to my uncles black angus bull. I was wandering how long i should leave him with her? I have had him here for a month and four days. Thanks for your help!

Would this be her first calf? If so, how old is she? First time mothers sometimes flush the first pregnancy in the first 2 months of carrying it - so I'd leave her with him for 3 months.

If this is not her first calf, she should be taken care of as the cycle is around 21 to 28 days from what I've seen with our girls.

Do you have any record of a previous heat? That would help alot. Then you could pretty much tell when she "should" be back in. Give the bull a few days after that date and pull her. Or be doublely sure and leave her 3 more weeks.

I'd keep her in with the bull for a couple of months. That should giver her time to have at least 2 heat cycles.
