breeding first time heffers

i own a small herd of cross breed angus heffers two of them are about a year old and in between 600 & 700 pounds this is my first time im gonna try to have some cows bred how big do they need to be and are they old enough?

Breed them at 65% of mature weight--Normally 14-15 months of age.

I like them to be at least 15 mos. And prefer 18 months
