I know from watching the open cattle in the field that approx. 3 days after they are in heat a bloody discharge is usually present on the tail when there is no bull to breed the cattle. But if there is a bull in the field, he breeds the cow, and she takes, can that blood still be there at 3 days or so? Or is that an indication that she is still open? A friend ask me the other day and I couldn't answer it with 100% confidence. I've seen it on my open cows but never really paid attention to the ones with the bulls.
Thanks

All it indicates is that she has ovulated. Has nothing to do with if she was bred or not or has settled or not

Thank you very much. I'm glad I asked cause I would have guessed the other way.
