What prices are others seeing? They have kept going up here. Talked to a friend last week that had recently sold 30 head of older cows. He said he will buy 30 heifer pairs this year. He called where he bought some heifer pairs for $4,500 last fall. They said they are asking $6,000.00 this year. He said he was going to go look at them. Heard of top quality bred heifers that brought $4,500.00. Glad we don’t need any. These heifers were all born and raised in this area and are from known genetics. Those heifers brought in from the north are selling cheaper. Just curious what others are seeing.

I haven't seen or heard of any bred heifers selling locally. On Superior's country page which has bred heifers from all over the county both the asking price and those listed as sold are at about $3,500 +/-.

Those 3 bred heifers I delivered last week, the dude gave $4500 each for. 20 month old registered red Charolais, 4 months bred with heifer calves. I was thinking at the time, that the dude must really want that bloodline or something, but it appears that commercial cows and heifers are bringing that now. Or close to it.
