Bred cow didn’t calve

Sad for the cow, and for your loss of income from her. But it is part of life. Glad you could use her for the burger, no sense in feeding her for several more months before time to ship some animals either...
Have you ever had one that had a mummified calf, expel it and then go on and breed again successfully? I had one the vet felt was mummified, couldn't discern any life signs in it... and we just shipped her... so don't have much experience with them. He said we could cause her to abort/miscarry it, could be complications, or do a c-section.... but decided to ship her rather than do a c-section or have her get torn up trying to have it...
Had a dairy farmer have one that had a diagnosed mummy calf and they shipped her also...

Had a similar happening at the clients place this year. Cow was comfirmed incalf with ultrasound in November and should have calved in February. There was no calf until April, so I suggested just to rectally check the cow to see if there is anything odd there. She did had a bag and had mastitis in January. Looked bred as well. The uterus just felt stuck to the calf, which was very hard to the touch. Obviously mumified, but at very late pregnancy. Cow was sent to slaughter so unfortunatelly no photos.
