We have had more breakdowns this year than all the others combined and everyone we talk with has the same story. Every disaster cost at the minimum $220.00 and it started adding up. They were beginning to get us a little frazzled when the baler threw a belt and baled it up inside the bale. Not the last bale, mind you, but three back. Took us forever to find the darned thing. Finally got everything running at the same time and then the runaway took the fence out. Baling season is over, thank God!

That's my luck too. When breakdowns occur, it always happens to everything, and all at one time. Doesn't seem that anything can be simple anymore.

But just look at all the fun we're having... :drink:

Gremlins have had a feeding frenzy around here the past couple week too. Friday a week ago, 5:30 in the afternoon no water, power to the pump but no water, I figure the pump is out. Call out the well service, don't expect to get it going so I get my water hose together to connect to a second well, no water their either. Go to the shop to see if the breaker is tripped, it is not tripped but shop has no 220 power only 110. So I'm thinking now I have problem at he power pole. Getting close to 6 pm on a Friday afternoon, can't get a hold of any of the local electricians, so I call one out from 25 miles away, (mileage + afterhour service). Long story short, well guy shows up find the wire going down the well is pinched. He fixes that, turns the well on , it starts running while looking at the second well we notice water running from the shop. I had some post t-pee fashion around a tree, the wind had been blowing pretty hard and they shifted letting one hit and break of a water faucet off at the shop. Only good thing, he discovered the main breaker feeding the panel on the second well was bad so I was able to call off the electrician. Oh and water leaks, I just finished fixing the 3rd one this morning since then.
