Some time between 1982 and 2024, he got a haircut.
Very personable guy. I got to meet him when his pilot brought his plane to our airport for a paint and interior job. About 1988, give or take a year. Very humble. I’d have never guessed that he was a famous person. His hair was even trimmed up slick like mine. I think he must’ve been using a wig for some of those transition years.
 
I think my Pandora listens to the news and then prompts new songs. I’ve noticed recently that when a musician dies, they start showing up on my random play.
I haven’t even thought about Bonnie Tyler in three decades. She had some really good hit in early and middle ‘80s, but I had forgotten them…,… until the past few days.

I don’t doubt that is her singing, but it looks like the video has been patched to make it look like a Farm Aid concert. I hate it when they do a fake.

Lady had some lungs! You can hear the age in her voice, but dang she could still belt out

That is a great song. She had just died on July 8 of this year.

Yes, that is why I mentioned it. I don’t follow the news very closely, but I haven’t heard her in 40 years. Brought back a lot of memories, so I googled her name and found out she had recently passed.

Just like Joplin, I always enjoyed her raspy “truck stop waitress” voice, with the cigarette ashes falling into my coffee as she takes my order. My kind of gal.

Has anyone ever told you that you’re a weirdo? :ROFLMAO: No need to be ashamed 😉. I like it too. There’s plenty of music that I don’t care for, but I can always appreciate talent. Even if it’s not something I’ll play on purpose, if the musician has some passion into what they’re doing, I can enjoy it.

About my taste in music? No. Mr TC just rolls his eyes. I do love my head banging & classic rock, alternative. But I was first chair, string bass, in the Wichita Youth Symphony, so this version resonates with me on another level.

I'm a big fan of orchestral rock. Moody Blues, ELP, Rick Wakeman. There is an album called "The King of Elfland's Daughter" that has some great orchestral music and at the time, some big names behind it...
