I posted 2-3 days ago about which bull to use. This, I thought might be interesting to some. Went to a local sale last week and saw 150 brangus heifers bred to a brangus bull go thru the ring. weight 950- 1200 lbs. They ranged from $1150-1450. Don't want this to create ill feelings on site, but thought this was VERY INTERESTING!

Well, naturally, if they had been bred to a Homogenizer bull they would have brought more. Those straightbreds won't work as well. ;-)

Brangus will work as a straight breed. The females are hightly prised and the steers will work in the feed lot and grade high choice. The bulls are polled and fertile and can adapt to most inviorments, even cold weather. Don't sell stright Brangus short.
