My wife and I just bought our first cows, two Polled Hereford first-calf heifer pairs. We bought them from my family's farm that have been in the Hereford business since the 1930's. We're keeping them with the seedstock herd on the farm I work for, so I can have them AI'ed. I've been around cattle my whole life and we're excited to finally have a couple of our own.







 
Thanks! One is out of a heifer that my sister showed that was a family favorite. The other, I showed her grandmother and great-grandmother, who were favorites of mine. All 3 of those cows made it 10+ productive years on the farm.
 
They look nice, as do the other cows in the background. It looks as though you all are just as wet as we are in our part of the state.

Looks like some nice pairs to start with. Happen to have registration #'s on them? I'm always curious what the pedigrees are on Hereford cattle as I always like to get a visual to go with the genetics behind an animal.
