Bottle Calf questions

I got a new bottle calf on tuesday. He has a great appetite, no problems there. He is a bull calf, and I think he either has a hernia or a navel infection. I called the vet, he said give him some LA200 and keep an eye on it. We turned him over and the cord looks clean and normal, just the furry part around it seems big. I put some iodine on it, knowing his start in life, I know his cord was not dipped when he was born. I also noticed when he was on his back that that it looked smaller, which is why I wondered about a hernia. Like it went back in his tummy. I know I am not using the proper lingo and such, and I have lots of pictures. I can take more too.

If it's a hernia you can ush around the enlarged area and feel the hole. If it's hard feeling it's usually a bit of navel ill

Update on Mo, we put some iodine on his navel and cleared it right up. He is walking and running, just about ready to put out to pasture with his brothers and sisters. He is a fine looking little bull too.
