Im looking for semen on him and would be interested in hearing from anyone that could give me more information and pricing please. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about him also please add your 2 cents worth. Thanks, Bill

Thanks for your reply. Thats not too much money on a straw if your flushing. Im just shopping around and trying to decide what I want to do right now. I am however interested in other contacts that anyone knows of on this bull. Thanks for the PM`s on this also to the ones who sent them. Bill

I absolutely love 208's dam. I have some very good friends that have seen her and thought she was extremely impressive. As for 208 cattle, average width, style good structure. Not as much animal from them as I though the cow might put forward. He would be one of the better N. Designs, but that's not saying a whole bunch.

Here are a couple pics of a daughter of his we have. We also have a few sons out of him but have steered all but one. We have been pretty happy with his calves. they are born easy and grow well. Unfortunetly we only have 1 straw of his semen left.

I really like the bull except for the milk EPD. 45 is a little too high IMO. But if you can affordably add his gentics to your heard I would.

You might try the 208 x 2536 son that is at Select. He looks good but is young so maybe use him on a few cows. You'll have some 208 influence to take a look at. One thing about the cattle business, its a big world. I get along well with the New Design influence we have and have seen some herds that have heavy ND influence that have good performance and phenotype along with outstanding carcass merit. To each their own. Good Luck.

He is Rito 4L60 (14768728). Three Trees bought half interest from Wehrmanns this spring. I am pretty sure that Select has a contract on him but he would not be in the catalog yet. If they don't have him call Three Trees. The numbers are great and from the video he looked good. Well worth sampling, thats for sure. Time will tell. Looks to have the ability to add value, if producing a more valuable product is what you want to do. Good Luck.

Mtnman, you made me laugh tonight. Had a bad day so thanks for picking me up.

Ironwood New Level is the only New Design worth a hoot? That's shocks me as the New Level I have seen are as wide as a 4 wire fence and are as attractive as one also.

They stand for the reasons I dislike the New Design cattle, nw, hard doing, common. I really liked the picture of the bull and even considered using him last year. I couldn't get excited using him and boy am I glad I didn't.

What pedigree of cows are are the New Level's that you have seen that were good. I am thinking it would take a mega power cow if that would even help.
