Definitely got a little bloat going on here. First noticed it yesterday. She's moved herself off the oat field into a different pasture. She's getting up ok just off feed. Nice first calf tiger stripe Heifer. I kinda think it might be best to just leave her be. Anybody see it different.

Best I could get before she left me

Are my eyes deceiving me? I'm pretty sure that bump high on her left side is a hip bone, not bloat.
I don't see evidence of bloat from the photo, and would probably leave it be - the reality is that bloat kills one occasionally whether or not it's treated for and whether or not the grazing management predisposes to it. Going to a new pasture the highest risk is the first few hours, when they're gorging and don't listen to the internal suggestions to stop eating.

If shes belching and farting, id let her work it out. If it grows, may have to get your pocket knife.

I've never saved a bloater long-term. If she survives, get her on a bus. Have wasted a lot of hours on them. Worst ones are the ones that get better, start gaining for a week or two and then walk out one day and are dead.

All my cows must be bloated!... Exercise is good for her though.. if it's chronic, then I agree with Aaron, get rid of her or you'll lose her completely
