Blizzard!!!!

Heres some pics of Colorado's typical October snow just before Halloween. (its weird how we get huge blizzards every year right before Halloween) It started at like 4 am and has been snowing and blowing about 40 mph all day long. Mom decided to go outside and took some pics, so i figured id share with all yall that are nice and warm right now!!!lol

This is from the top of our driveway. Some of the drifts are like 4' deep!!

over here we are having extreamly mild weather for this time of year. Glad we haven't got the snows yet. hope we don't. ;-) looks good on the photo's and that is where it can stay.

Me too msscamp! We had a little bit on Oct. 20, not enough to even make things white but enough to let us know summer is over. They are threatening us with it this weekend though. I hope they are wrong.

Last week it was cold here, down in the low 40s, but its back up in the 80s here. I couldnt take that cold. Only time I ever saw snow was on Christmas Eve I think 2 years ago, but we didnt get much, didnt even cover the ground. I cant imagine that much snow. Makes me cold just looking at.

We need a good dump of snow to liven the country up like it did 22 years ago. I'm sitting at the computer with shorts and a light shirt on,the temp is about 14c at 11.15 at night in our second month of spring. We got to 23c today expect 26 tomorrow. Storms have been threatening but thats about it.Will be tagging calves tomorrow branded 100 head last weekend on one of our blocks. Still have about 200 to do.

I'm presently home on the farm, and we already got over 18 inches of snow today (it's literally up to my knees), and there's supposed to be more of the white stuff continuing to come all day tomorrow, like another 10 inches that we're supposed to get.

I think it's here to stay, for sure...

It is now snowing here. Only have a few inches so far but the snowfall warning is being continued so I would say it is now officially winter. :x

Yup, I heard this morning that they're calling for 6" tonight. Fired the tractor up this morning just to make sure its working okay after sitting most of the summer. Guess winter chores start tomorrow.

Keep warm, our nights are still a bit cool here for this time of the year. Tasmania and parts of Victoria had a winter type snowfall a couple of days ago. Just last week Tasmania had its warmest October day on record.
Who can figure it out.
