blind cow

I have a cow who has recently gone blind in right eye...I mean this is very recent...within the last 2 weeks...she has a big white spot. and isn't pussy or otherwise tramatized in the eye...she is only 11 yrs old and is in very good health...what the heck can cause this. I will try to get a pic tomorrow....

thanks, I will call the vet out first thing in the morning. On a sidenote; can it be transmitted to humans?

I doubt it, but I'ld still wash my hands after messing with the eye
