how far down south do the robins (birds) go? same with the swallows

Carlos, I see this knee surgery has given you a lot of time to ponder some of our natural wonders....I only know that some robins are still here (Virginia) and had better skedaddle quickly...I also know that I'll see them again in February or March and feel bad for them if we get snow then. I hate for anything to go hungry.

the swallows have just left on their migration, and I saw my first Robin last week, lovely little bird, his brest wasn't red yet give it a week or so and they will be bright red.

I commonly see robins and swallows. Usaully see robins in big groups before a strong cold front.

At home we'll normally have robins and cardinals year round.

Robins,Chipping Sparrows,Goldfinch,Nuthatch,Whitecrown Sparrow,Whitethroat Sparrow,Vieros, Whitewing Doves,Mexican doves....more...during spring/summer,Redbird,Chickadee,Barn Swallow,Purple Martin,House Finch Painted Bunting,Tufted Titmouse ...
Lots more happen by/arround /over the feeders-Saw Geese and Cranes this week..
Have some hawks that think the bird feeder is a hawk feeder,so have hung windchimes and other stuff around to make them work harder to catch anything..

Carlos, no the Robins won't stay the winter. They're just passing through. To Florida I guess. But you will see Robins from time to time here throughout the winter. Then in the spring of the year I guess they go back to Tennessee or West Virginia or somewhere. You will see no Robins here in the summer.

The only ones we see year round are hawks, gold finches, cardinals and blue jays. Everything else either migrates through, spends the summer or spends the winter.
