I am looking for more info on making bio-diesel. I am planning on takeing the upcoming workshop for making biodiesel at home from a ag college. It is a 1 day course. If you have any imfo on making this kind of home brew i would appreciate it. As far as cost of the lye and ethanol and expected yeild. Just checking with fast food outlets currently they pay to have their used oil taken away and would gladly give it away to anyone who wants it. So other than transport costs it is free. I am still in the initial stages so any imfo is appreciated. Hopefully i can start making it and give the oil companies the one finger salute soon.

There are some good web sites out there. I was looking into it for a couple of months. Are you planning on making your own still or buy one allready made?

The formulas I have seen you have to heat the oil. I have read where some people use a water heater for that.

I don't know how cold it gets there. I imagine colder than here in Oregon. During the summer you could run straigh bio-diesel, but during the winter you would want some sort of blend.
Good luck
