Billings MT Tornado

There have been close calls and reports of tornados going over but this is the first time I can remember of a tornado touching down.
It touched down 2-3 miles from my grandmothers house.

I remember when they built the Metra arena. Watching hockey and more concerts then I care to recall and that is where they hold the graduations for the high schools.
The state fair is in August.
Then there is the statue of Dan Mortenson the champion saddle bronc rider.

I hate tornadoes- they are random acts of Mother Nature that pick and choose whose lives they turn upside down

Luckily my daughter who lives in Billings was up here for her sisters wedding- and was just pulling into Billings after the storm went thru...They said there were cattle standing in fields of water-(airport reported 2.75 inchs-but I heard reports of areas getting 9 inchs :???: ) and they were routed around thru Huntley because of the debris, downed lines, and water- to get back to the Interstate so they could get home on the south side of Billings...

Last night the majority of these storms stopped just south of the Missouri River-and we didn't get anything but a light show to the south- but today as this front moves up thru northern Montana and into Canada they are saying today and tonight could be ours and the Canadians turn for chances of the severe stuff...

Rockglen SK already has a tornado watch in effect..Looks like to the west of me- and all thru I Luv hefrds area the storms are already starting to fire...

I'd just as soon even the rain missed us this time...Love to dry out a little and get some work done....

Got storm cells building all around us. There is a spinning low going over the top of us.

Heard that there was 3 different funnels spotted.

Storm just got done here...It was heading right toward us- then got near the lake- and turned down "Hail Alley" (area that always gets hail) heading towards Fort Peck-Frazer- and following along the Missouri...I heard wind, hail, and heavy rain was in that part of the storm...All we got here was .15 of straight down rain...

Tornado watch is still on till 9PM for most of eastern Montana-- but temp has dropped from near 80 to 60- sun has come out now- and I think our problems are by....
