Yesterday was a big day around here. Besides being 3waycross's birthday it was also my wedding anniversary. Coincidently, it was my wife's anniversary, too, which makes it nice since one of us will usually remember it. ;-)

More importantly, we met our newest grandchild for the first time. Our oldest son and our beautiful DIL just returned from China, where they adopted a little girl that had been found abandoned by the side of a road two years ago. She is very outgoing and has bonded to her new family very well. Having spent the past two years in orphanages and foster homes, it's almost as if she senses that she's finally home.
 
Congrats on everything sounds like it was a Great day for all involved

now for the anniversary thing I have been telling my wife for yrs the we must of got married on separate days because she always remembers it on one day and I always remeber the next day usually because she asks me if I forgot something again this yr the day after and I say no today is our anniversary and she says no yesterday was

I still think I am right :lol: :lol:
 
Congratulations VanC. That grandchild sounds like a charmer. Don't spoil her too much. ;-) Getting married on 3Way's birthday. Was this a planned deal? Trying to take away from his day? Trying to detract from the one day that he can feel ...... well.... older.:lol2: :lol2:

Nothing like being a new grandad (again). I've been blessed with 10 of them and they are wonderful. Them and the dog still think "Pop" is tops. :lol2: :lol2:

Congratulations to all! My wife and I have 8 kids, 3 bio and 5 adopted from all over. Families come together in many different ways. You love them all the same. Best

Boy that is a fine looking family. My sister and brother-in-law adopted a little girl from France. Her parents were killed in an accident and my kids were over there on a diplomatic journey. The little girl was three and my daughter had her kids teach Emily English but at the same time had Emily teach the family French. This let her maintain some of her true identity.
 
Van that sure was some big day, and best of all those children look so happy you must be so proud I know I would be. Good on your Son and DIL.
