BIF Formulas

Frankie, for adjusting WW for 205 days:

Weight of calf (at 140 days to 270 days) minus Birthweight divided by days of age, multiplied times 205 days, plus Birthweight and age of dam factor.
Example:
600 lbs. - 80 lbs (BW) =520 lbs.
520 divided by 140 (days) = 3.71
3.71 X 205=760 + 80 (BW) = 840 (Plus age of dam factor)

Thank you both. Our test station uses the BIF formula for adj weights. We get a report from the Angus Assn and they're sometimes not the same. I just wanted to understand the BIF one.
