Jack Russell retriever, little girl is smart knows what I am hunting.
Very entertaining as well to watch the little dog set beside me scanning the sky.
Shotgun comes up she is on the ready. When I miss I get the look like what was that.

Love it! Terriors just have a certain way and attitude about them. (I have a Boston.) They can be a lot of fun with their "big dog" personalities! Smart lil bugers too!

That looks like a white wing. Good dog. Does she have a soft mouth?
Yea she does. First year ever to have White Wing here.
Now my little dog thought it was BS the other day when I pulled out the black powder.
I fire one shot and she would look at me like you idiot there is four more shoot.
Grass is so tall in the pasture you need a dog to find down birds.

I've never known Jack Russel to retrieve! I've known plenty that would shred, chew, chomp and gnaw.

She's working out to be a good partner for you. :)

Good looking dog. Bet she wouldn't back down from a retriever over rights to a bird either.

Are kidding a Jack Russell does not have any back down.
That is what gets them into trouble.

Almost makes you feel bad about all the stuff you said about her a while back eh?

You can teach a Russell anything except to not kill chickens.

Eldest Daughter came home from college with a Jack Russel after her Freshman year. He learned every trick there was to learn. Never took him dove hunting tho.

Those dogs think they are bullet proof. They'd tangle with a grizzly bear if you give them a chance.

This year I got to hunt opening day only. Wedding last weekend. An uncle died Monday and I will be in Marshall for services Friday and Saturday this weekend. Looks like I miss the best parts of dove season :-( Opening day had a 25 mph wind and gusts on top of that. Only picked up one double. Pretty sorry shooting on my part. Now there is no chance to redeem myself.
