Old or new, what is the best tractor for ride at the end of the day? For me the ones with the cab/seat forward don't ride as good as the older ones that have the seat behind the rear axle.

IMHO: It's the TIRES!
Tires are a big part, they are part of the suspension which absorbs the shock just as adding shocks, springs, seatcushoins soften the ride.

Another thing that softens the ride. SLOW DOWN :lol2:

I've ridden a hand full of tractors, from the tired MF35 at home to the climate-controlled NH TS100 at work.

With my day job mowing right-of-ways for a municipality on a JD 4610 then comin' home to ride an ol' IH I'm biased when I say NO tractor is comfortable

Although I'd venture to say that the heavier the tractor is, the less it's gonna beat you... Wheel base and tire pressure will also affect the ride quality... I REFUSE to ride any of the ol' tractors with solid mount seats and no powersteering now....

Those bouncy, air-ride seats and air conditioning sure do make it easier on a fellow though ;-)

Here are some Iknow aren;t: Internaitonal 460 Utility, International 454 Utility, any Montana, FarmTrac 60, but it's better then the Internationals

A couple of my friends who have Kubotas say they are the roughest riding tractor they have owned. No problems to speak of otherwise but after a day on a Kubota they say you can tell you're whipped.

I would say out of all the tractors I have ridden..(Fords, Massey, INternational, Case, Belarus) John Deere has the most comfort.
