I've tried a lot of nutcrackers and none compare to this one. It's the Black Brute made in Tyler, Texas. Matchless operation. Get one if you can. I inherited this one from an Uncle. Don't know how old it is or if they're still available.

I'll say one thing for ya Ga using a 30ton press you sure get downright serious with your pecan crackin.

Except for black walnuts, this is the best nutcracker I've seen. Works particularly slick on peeeeeecans

When I was a kid, we had a nutcracker, shaped like a dog.
If you raised the tail, the bottom jaw would open, insert the nut, and lower the tail to crack it. Worked great on all kinds. Can't for the life of me remember where it came from or for that matter, where it is now.
