I was watching a snippet of a Bernie speech about tuition free college at public schools. Anyone have any idea how that would affect college sports since a scholarship wouldn't mean as much? I know there is talk of paying college athletes and we are probably headed that way to some degree. Would private schools be at a disadvantage? Would it help or hurt the FCS and D2 schools? Maybe there wouldn't be much of an effect, but there are always unintended consequences.

Also, does anyone struggle with when to use "affect" or "effect" as much as I do?

Doesn't matter if he wins, there's no way free college becomes law. He's courting favor with non-tax paying voters when he says "free college" and all the other "free" things he touts.

Even with "free education" money will drive it same as it does now. The best coaches the best equipment come from donors. The best athletes will still follow that.
