Don't know anything about this particular bermuda, but talked to an extension forage specialist a couple of years ago about seeded bermuda. Some of the seeded bermudas such as Texas Tough & others are blends of "improved" varieties + common bermuda. He said the "improved" component will establish quicker than the common component of the blend, however he felt over time the common will dominate. I saw this happen years ago at my childhood home. Yard was sprigged to african bermuda. Somehow a small patch of common bermuda got started at the edge of the yard. Over the years the common kept encroaching more & more into the hybrid bermuda.
Don't know if Tifton 85 is cold tolerant enough for your area. Have seen research from Overton Tx where Tif 85 outyielded & produced more gain than other bermudas. Tif 85 does have to be sprigged, probably making it more costly to establish.
Check with your local NRCS or extension agent and see if tif 85 is adapted to your area.
Good luck & best wishes
