In a rual delivery magazine i was reading today some farmer has just had a belted jersey bor nand was wanting someone to help him develope the breed i am wondering if anyone has heard of this breed before

Wouldn't that pretty much be a Dutch Belt? That's the only belted milking breed I know of.

The only belted breeds period are Belted Galloways and the Dutch Belt, according to any website I've seen. Univ. of Oklahoma's website and the Embryo Plus website list every recognized breed of cattle there is. Very nice sites actually.

Don't forget BueLingo, they're a belted breed. Also, Lowline cattle can be belted (I think, could be wrong).

Thing is, don't all the belted genetics go back to the Dutch Belted cattle? I remember reading that somewhere.

When you mentioned Lowline, if you are referring to Lowline Angus they will not be belted.

stay away from gradwohl, he's in it for only himself.

he invents new breeds everyday.

this breed is a belted galloway/jersey cross, some of them are 3 and 4 breeds mixed up. he's just selling colors, but he gets up to 20,000 each.,
