beef exports hitting new records

in 2010 it took the entire year to hit 4 billion in beef exports.

we now have hit that mark in 6 months.

That's all fine and good exports have went up.... Problem is my check I'm importing into my wallet. Exports are better when the producer actually see's more money in their pocket. :2cents:

Volume selling can offset lower price per CWT just as selling a heavier animal sold at lower price per lb can make just as much money as a lower weight animal that is sold at a higher price per lb.

No way to know that for sure, but would expect the pocket to be in worse shape had not exports increased. :2cents:

There's over 3 million more beef cows in the US of A right now than there was in 2013. I'm shocked that the cattle market is holding up so well. A cow calf operation can still make a little money at these prices.
