And yet another winter storm is beating the heck out of the Northwest. It is 36 degres, pouring down rain, with a steady 30 mph wind, and gusts to 60 mph. Blizzard warnings in the mountains calling for a couple of feet of new snow. Wind gusts on the ocean almost to hurricane speeds. Lots of local power outages. I have had enough winter weather for one year. I am so ready for spring. Or maybe a three month trip to some sunny south sea island.

 , should be an interesting few days. We have mild to strong winds now, but we are at the tip of the iceberg. Lost power for a short while this morning, we're forcast for snow here, we'll just have to see what we get and hang on. As far as sick of winter goes, remember May is just around ...... Nah, this is too early for this type of weather, mid December and already knee deep mud, if we get snow that sure won't help.

Be careful what you complain about... might end up like us.. over 10 inches below normal for THIS year, and counting. I would gladly take some of that cold, windy rainy weather in exchange for our mild, dry, windy weather right now.

I would be more than glad to send this to you. In fact I would be glad to send you our next two months of rain as it wont do us any good at all. We already had our record setting (for us) drought for the year. Lack of rainfall this time of the year is a non-issue for us. As long as the North Pacific is out there we will get winter rains. Even after no rain from July 24(?) to Oct 11, we are about 8 inches above our normal for the entire year. And with the way it is coming in we will probably get another 8 inches before the year is over.

We got 9-10" of snow late afternoon and through the evening. The morning started at 27 degrees. And we were fencing -- fencing and freezing do not work well together. Sun's shining today.

Send some this way.

No wind here yet, but there was tornado warnings earlier. It has rained almost 1" here today, but it has stoped now.

Well the wind blew itself out but this morning it is looking a lot like Christmas. A couple inches of sloppy wet snow.

The question is not if or when but which south sea island I should go visit until spring.

We have wind here pretty much all the time. Chicago is only a 6.5 wind factor but they call it the windy city. Go figure. Not viable for wind generators. We are nearly double. Sunny too. We'd take the snow. I am sure it would melt at some point.
