banding infection

i mostly cut but this year we band
one steer has what the vet calls a stub infection
is this normal with banding
how would you all treat this if it was your calf

making me rethink banding maybe

We band 1/2 and chop 1/2. Never had an infection from either.

we did 78 all fine cept one

Susstained sulfer Boluses used to work for us everytime. It started failing on some so we went to the heavy single does treatment of baytril.
