Calving season officially started today, had 4 yesterday and 5 today. Not to mention the half-dozen early arrivals.

Late October calves from another group:

Can't quite figure out who the sire of this one is:

Picture's not very clear, it's a piebald that the wife calls "Super Goat".

Well, I first thought this post was about your last visit at Duns..... :help: Sorry ,I love you Dun......

What a cute pic of that little one is, did your wife see it, as you may have a new enterprise. ;-)

Really NICE set of calves!!!

I can't wait to have some of those running around here next spring!

I hope they look as good as yours....... ;-)

Thanks for the comments.

Not bad for a 1500 dollar, second-hand bull and a scrubby bunch of cows. Most of our cows are home-raised, the rest bought on conformation alone. Bull came from a friend who was selling out by chance, could care less about his numbers. I'd like to think those calves (and the others from him) prove that numbers aren't everything.

Nice lookin set of calves, look like they got enough air under em to get the job done, baldies are hard to beat in my opinion :tiphat: .
