Bald around the eye

Its a steer less then a year old. Possible a herford/angus cross. Some white on the face. The area around the eyes looks to be bald of hair, just around the eyes not anywhere else on the head or body. He hasn't been scratching or itching as far as I can see. The eyes are not weepy, no discharge. I don't know the genetic back ground of this steer, so? Have not had a vet out. Could this be the begining of eye cancer?? We believe he came off of a corn field(whole corn in the manure). We have been feeding alfalfa, some grain. He seems pretty healthy otherwise.

I agree, ringworm. Just leave it, eventually it will go away.

The majority of troubles are pretty simple...just need to recognize which ones need some attention. DMc
