Balancer bulls?

Any body use balancer bulls? I heard they were crossed between gelbvieh and angus. Thoughts on them? Should they be homo black and homo polled?

I've been using a Gelbvieh bull on my angus cows for 3 years. I really like the balancer calves so I bought my first balancer bull this spring. I used him on all my heifers. At the last 2 sales I've attended the balancer bulls and heifers outsold the purebred gelbvieh, so somebody must really like em.

I bought my first balancer this summer and plan on using him on a few heifers/cows in the spring. When visiting with the breeder and viewing the balancer bulls and heifers he had compared to the straight angus he had, I was convinced I wanted to give the balancer a try. It was obvious in size and maturity of the balancer versus the straight angus.
