Yeah it is a shame. There are reports of whitetails here that have gotten their antlers intertwined during the rut and died. We have had a couple of our White Texas Dall rams get their horns stuck and had to flip one over on his back to basically unscrew the horns from each other. Craziest thing we ever had happen but we are lucky to try to check on them pretty regular. These were at a rented pasture and the people living there called us. Hate to see it in the wild as you know they just starve or die from lack of water. But, that is past of nature/life.
