Bad start :(

Just lost the first calf last night. Had to call the vet in and it was our first breech birth. Turns out that the calf was already dead for awhile. Hopefully the rest of cows will have healthy and live calves soon.

Just ran into another problem....this time it's our little fall bull calf got some bad infection in his sleath. Called same vet in to drain him. Basically I have to giving shots to the cow and the calf twice a day and they HATE the chute & the shots. The calf has to be lassoed for the shots. Hopefully this is last time to have any bad luck.

Finally! Found a new brand calf suckling with her mother tonight. She is sure tiny calf when comparing to her dam.
