I love them. Mother with day old calf.

While the picture of the cow and calf may not be the best, as in 'showing' the cow, that photo does have an artistic quality about it. The location of the cow and the calf, the yellow flowers, and lines of wire. Kinda neat picture.

There is nothing wrong with the picture. There CERTAINLY is NOTHING wrong with the Cow when you consider her Phenotype, and she is very well balanced and proportioned.

Thanks for the kind posts.

I need some of Jovid's bulls to finish off the set.

They are some of the wildest cattle I got if you try to herd them. Other than that you got to watch them stepping on you as you have to call them in. Takes about 10 min. to get them up. Got them from my Uncle back in the late 90's when he got to old to work them and my Aunt insisted he sell them or give them to me. When we got them he had hid some out and acted like he didn't know anything. He finally got out for good 3 years ago. Two broke off from the herd and stay with the black Lims. Other than that they stay segregate from the main group. Dangdest thing I've ever seen.

Weild I'm not trying to hijack your thread but thought I would post a pic of one of our Red Poll cows. She is a 4 yr old that is her 2nd calf in the background.

Jovid don't think twice about posting RP's here. I really do love them as much as our Red Lim's. We got some black Lims that I'm partial too as well. I really like the RP's crossed on the blacks.

I like that bull when you posted him earlier.

Having looked at Lims most of my life... I want to see some butt. That bull will put it on them from what I can tell. That little bull in the cow pics shows it. The mother looks like some we have.

I guess I go for the long legged continental breeds that works into the rump as it makes its way up to the neck and then again I like the shorter legged blocky british cattle as well.

Now Wewild here i was just a thinking how pretty a calf that Red Poll cow of yours would have out of a Red Limi bull. Jovid has sure got about best Red polls i have seen but i still think a Limi has em beat in the butt department.

We have actually thought about crossing limis and red polls. The only problem is that we have such a demand for our heifers, bulls, and locker beef it's hard not to keep breeding seed stock.

The little bull in the pic with his mama is actually out of another bull. That little bull is in a bull test right now.

I aggree.....that is why it would make such a good cross.

I guess i have thought about crossing a Limi on about everthing , but after looking at Wewilds picture i think that would be one heck of a cross. But if i was doing it, it would have to be a Red Fullblood Limi. We may have to trade a few straws of semen just so we can try it.

Yes,beautiful cow;I would be happy with a paddock of that type-do you have some more pics you could post here?
