It could of been worse...it could of turned over... :yuck: :shock:

years ago when a neighbor moved in and brought a trailer load of longhorns from god-knows-where, the truck driver got a little sleepy and missed a corner about a mile from the ranch.. flopped the truck over, it was havoc inside there.. lot of injured cows (horns sure didn't help that).

Looks like he kinda cut the corner a little tight with the trailer.. perhaps thought there was more solid road than what there really was.. that stop sign is set pretty far back, though that ditch is by no means hidden.

It mostly was from it sliding off. You could see where the trailer was driving, and then slid 5' into the ditch.
Weren't any hurt, but the pigs weren't very happy.
 
About 5 years ago I had a pot load of calves headed to the sale in Toppenish. The route goes up over White pass. A steep two lane road with lots of narrow crooked road, deep canyon, and sheer drop offs. Late in the afternoon I got a message that the truck rolled over. I had nothing but bad visions of calves spread all over a mountain side. Turned out that the driver got clear to the bottom well past curves and steep ground. On a flat straight part of the road he just drove off the road and laid the truck on its side. I was told that the top blew off the trailer and the calves got out. Only killed one and crippled one. Turned out that the trucker didn't have load insurance. I ended up eating the crippled one (literally) and was out the money on the killed one.

2 hours with 2 wreckers.
Driver side drive tires were up in the air about 2' on the truck, so they had to be careful not to turn it over.
 
Did you have any of the 50 mph. wind to help put him in the ditch? I am just north of you about 60 miles and we had wind strong enough to drift snow that was like wet concrete! :shock:
 
I know there were a few north of Litchfield. Coming back from Springfield this afternoon there was one mess of tracks on the southbound that looked like half a days work for wreckers

The wind was blowing on the down hillside, so I think it was holding him up. :lol:
