B.B. loaded flapper

Does anyone know where to get the flapper that’s loaded with B.B.’s like you shoot in a B B gun. It makes a swishing sound and is supposed to be good to keep cattle moving thru the alley way. I heard about them or saw an advertisement on them but wasn’t looking for any then. Now I’m interested but can’t find them.

We use them all the time. Wear them out and bust them too. Get ours at the local livestock supply store. There is one which lives in the bed of my pickup.

Yep, drain the bb’s out first. They tend to be too stimulating for some feeder cattle. I do like the visual barrier of a paddle sometimes but usually prefer a plain fiberglass stick for sorting.

I have both the rattle paddle and a sorting stick. I use which ever I grab. The wife has a light weight pole with a flag on the end. I have used it but not my preferred. She likes if because it is light. But she can be a hazard with it because she likes to constantly flap the flag.

I like them because they are light, visible, and long enough to touch a cow from behind without gagging kicked.

I quit using a stick to sort pairs in the spring. If I have it I use it and it just doesn’t help the situation. The new mommas just get more agitated.

they sell them here with and w/o bb's. i buy with bb's but if you hold it right they won't shake. then if you get one that won't do what you want.. i just give it a little jolt to rattle it just a tad. works great and will keep them moving.
